known as Ecstatic Dance,
and tap into intuitive wisdom and healing.


Ecstatic dance is an ancient practice used by shaman to create
altered states of consciousness with the goal of bringing healing to
themselves and others.
It is now considered a beneficial spiritual practice according to
recent studies. Researchers validate the healing qualities of
ecstatic dance just as our ancestors have always known.

Ecstatic Dance is a great way to feel grounded,
embody emotions,
relax and enter into transported states of higher knowing
and understanding.

This class will help you explore your unique inner rhythm while moving your body in any manner that feels good, to music that will help you lose yourself to the beat. Designed for those who have tried sitting meditation in the past and struggled with it, or those who are looking to compliment their existing meditation routine.


The goal is simple:
to relax, tune into whatever you’re feeling,
and gently move in any way that feels comfortable to you.

This is accomplished through guidance from an experienced facilitator, in a safe space where you can feel at ease with however you want to express yourself.

Class will start with breath work and a gentle stretch to help you get into a deep meditative state, followed by a guided body scan and free-form dance, and end with a closing circle.


Please bring a yoga mat and water, as well as a journal (optional).

Facilitator: Paula Lane


Paula is a certified Meditation Teacher and Spiritual Coach, and she has seven years of formal dance training. Paula has decades of experience practicing ecstatic dance, with eight years as a facilitator. She also authored stories about the role of ecstatic dance in her own healing journey, while coping with a chronic illness and an accident. Paula adapted her own practice based on her education and training, and her own personal experience with healing as well as other forms of ecstatic dance and shamanism.
